Serbia – Suspension of acceptance of mails to China and to countries whose mails transit through China

07 februar, 2020

The designated operator of Serbia, Post of Serbia, would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to the suspension until further notice of partner airline flights to China (People's Rep.), it is currently unable to send letter-post, parcel-post or EMS items to China and to the countries whose mails transit through China (People’s Rep.) (Dem. People’s Rep. of Korea, Fiji, Iran (Islamic Rep.), Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People’s Dem. Rep., Macao, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam and Yemen). Post of Serbia is therefore declaring a situation of force majeure and ceasing, with immediate effect, to accept letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items destined for or transiting through China, until sufficient transport capacity becomes available.

Post of Serbia thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding. It will update them via EmIS once the situation has returned to normal.
